Live Data Slides

A clearer name

Dynamic slides are now called live data slides, in all 11 languages. On the slideshow page the button reads Add live data and sits in the same outlined style as Insert Media and Design Slide.

See the slide as it plays

In the slideshow editor, a live data slide's tile now shows a picture of that slide as last rendered, with your own data and in the slideshow's shape: landscape, portrait or square. Until a slide has been rendered, the tile shows the template's sample picture as before.

An email when a source stops working

When one of your content sources fails three times in a row, workspace admins get an email with the reason and a link to the Sources page, and another when it works again. You get at most one failure email per source a day. You can turn the emails off for the whole workspace in Settings, under Content Source Alerts, or for a single source in its edit form.

What this means for you: you can tell what a live slide will look like from the editor, and you hear about a broken feed from us instead of from someone looking at the screen.
