Generating slides

This is the core agent. Describe the slide you want and get one finished slide back, on brand and ready to add.

Prefer step by step? Type help in the composer and pick "Generate a slide" to launch the guided wizard — it asks for a headline, optional body, whether to use your brand, and whether you want a background photo. Easier and delivers more predictable results, because then you don't have to phrase a full prompt.

How to use it

Open a slideshow, open AI Studio, and type what you want shown. Include the actual facts, the special and its price, the event and its time, the announcement and its number. Optionally add a style steer like "on brand" or "with a map background."

Worked example

You type:

Create a slide about tonight's special: pan-seared salmon with lemon butter, £24, served from 6pm. On brand.

You get back a single slide: a clean menu-item layout with "Tonight's Special" as the headline, "Pan-seared salmon, lemon butter" as the dish, £24 in the price block, "From 6pm" as the time, your logo and accent colour applied. Preview it, set the position, click Add.

More prompts to try

Create a slide about the Happy hour 4–7pm. Half-price cocktails. Use our colours.

Create a slide with the heading We're hiring baristas — apply at the counter or email jobs@cafe.is

Create slide with heading Free Wi-Fi. Network: GuestWifi. Password: welcome2024. Find a background image.

Tips

Be concrete. A category label ("our drinks") is not a headline; give it the actual drink, price and time. One idea per slide — if you bundle three unrelated messages it will either cram them or split them into a short sequence, which you may not want. If you want a background photo, name the subject ("steaming coffee cup", "snowy mountain road") so the image is relevant.

Guided wizard

If the result doesn't match what you wanted, rate it thumbs-down. The agent will offer to guide you step by step: it asks for a headline, an optional subheading and body, whether you'd like to add a photo (camera, upload, or media library), whether to use your brand assets, and optionally a background image description. You can also launch the wizard directly from the help menu by typing help.

What can go wrong

If your prompt has no usable facts, the agent asks you to describe the slide and charges nothing. Very long copy can overflow a template, so read the preview. Branding comes out neutral if you asked for it but haven't configured a logo and accent colour.
