Animations & Transitions
Entrance effects, motion paths and PowerPoint's own slide transitions do not play back. Each slide is rendered as one static image, so there's no timeline left for an animation to run on.
Uncommon Fonts
Standard Office fonts (Arial, Times New Roman and similar) render correctly. A custom or unusual font not installed on the rendering server falls back to a substitute, which can shift line breaks.
Embedded Video & Audio
A video or audio clip placed on a slide is rendered as a single still frame, silently. It does not play in the loop: if a clip is the point of the slide, it needs to run as its own media item instead.

No Export Step or File to Push to Each Screen
Most guidance for putting a PowerPoint file on a screen tells you to export it
to a video first, and that advice is sound, because PowerPoint's own
"Export to Video" renders your animations and transitions into the video file
itself. It keeps the motion InfoSlides can't. What it costs you is a manual
re-export every time the deck changes, and a video file you then have to get
onto each screen yourself. InfoSlides trades that animation fidelity for a
workflow with no export step at all: you upload the .pptx, InfoSlides
does the rendering, and what reaches the screen is the same text and layout you
built.

- 10 seconds per slide by default, set by InfoSlides rather than read from PowerPoint, with a per-slide override in the dashboard.

PowerPoint Digital Signage: Common Questions
Do PowerPoint animations and transitions play on the TV?
No. InfoSlides renders each slide as a single static image, so entrance animations, motion paths, slide transitions and embedded video or audio clips do not carry over. Text, images and layout render faithfully. A clip that needs to play should be added as its own media item.
Can I upload a .pptx file directly, or do I need to export it first?
InfoSlides takes the .pptx directly, so there is no export-to-video step to run yourself. It renders the slides and encodes them into a stream on its own.
Will my PowerPoint fonts look right on the screen?
