Six good reasons to choose InfoSlides Over Mandoe Media

Architecture

Live Stream, Not File Sync

Mandoe pushes files to local media players — updates require download and sync across devices. InfoSlides outputs a continuous live HLS stream. Changes appear on every screen instantly, globally, with no device sync, no wait, no gaps between old and new content.

PowerPoint Native

Upload .PPTX Directly — No Redesign

InfoSlides accepts PowerPoint files and renders them with full fidelity into the live stream. Mandoe requires you to re-design your content using templates — you cannot upload .pptx files. If your team builds in PowerPoint, InfoSlides is a direct fit.

Dynamic Data

Google Reviews, Weather, RSS — Rendered Into Slides

Mandoe shows live feeds as widgets overlaid on static layouts. InfoSlides renders live data as polished, full-screen slides within the stream — Google Reviews with photos and ratings, weather conditions, news headlines, countdown timers. The presentation quality is fundamentally different.

Smart Slide Rules

Slides That React to Real-World Conditions

InfoSlides includes smart slide rules — hide the patio menu when it rains, show "sold out" only when inventory is zero, display a storm warning when wind speed exceeds a threshold. Mandoe does not have data-triggered content visibility. Content plays on schedule, regardless of conditions.

AI Generation

AI Magic Create Draws a Layout. AI Studio Wires It to Live Data.

Mandoe leads with AI Magic Create: describe a design and get a layout. InfoSlides AI Studio starts from text, a voice memo, a photo of a printed menu, a link, a document or a spreadsheet — and the slide it drafts can stay mapped to a live content source, so it keeps updating after it is made. It also works only from the facts you supply, copying prices and times across exactly rather than filling gaps with plausible guesses. See how AI Studio works →

Automation & AI

Slides That Update Themselves

InfoSlides includes a built-in CLI and MCP server for automation and AI integration. Your developers can update slides from code, trigger show/hide actions from external systems (inventory, weather, sales data), run slides from CI/CD pipelines, or have Claude manage your displays with natural language. Mandoe is UI-only — every change requires manual clicking.

Architecture

Stream vs. Download — Why It Matters for Multi-Screen Deployments

Mandoe's file-push model works like this: you update content → the system re-encodes → files download to each player → each player loops playback locally. For a single screen this is fine. For a restaurant with 8 screens showing the same menu, or a hotel with 12 lobby displays that need to sync instantly, the download-and-sync model introduces problems.

When you update pricing on a Mandoe menu board, the new file begins downloading to each device. On slow internet, or with many screens, this can take several minutes. During that window, some screens show old prices while others show new. Inventory shows as available on one screen while sold-out on another.

InfoSlides works differently. Your presentation encodes once into a continuous HLS stream. When you update content, the stream updates. Every screen pulls the same stream simultaneously. There is no download, no sync, no gap. Price changes appear on all 12 screens at the same second.

InfoSlides (HLS Stream)
Edit → Stream updates live → Every screen reflects change instantly
Mandoe (File Push)
Edit → Re-encode → Download to each device → Sync delays

Content Input

PowerPoint vs. Template-Based Design

If your team creates presentations in PowerPoint, InfoSlides is a direct fit. Upload your .pptx file and it renders into the live stream with full fidelity — animations, custom fonts, brand layouts, everything.

Mandoe does not accept PowerPoint uploads. Instead, you re-design your content using Mandoe's templates. This works well if you are building signage from scratch, but creates friction if you already have polished presentations. You would need to manually recreate each slide in Mandoe's builder.

Mandoe excels at quick content creation through templates (similar to Canva). InfoSlides excels at re-purposing existing PowerPoint presentations.

Live Data Integration

Rendered Slides vs. Widget Overlays

Both platforms support live data (weather, news, Instagram feeds). The difference is presentation. Mandoe displays dynamic content as widget overlays — a small weather badge in a corner, a news ticker bar, an Instagram feed box positioned on top of the static layout.

InfoSlides renders live data as full-screen slides inside the video stream. Google Reviews appear as polished slides with reviewer photos, star ratings, text, and your workspace logo. Weather conditions show as branded cards. News headlines display as templates you control. The result looks like intentional signage, not web widgets pasted over a PowerPoint deck.

For hospitality, retail, and any business where screen appearance matters to customers, this distinction is significant. A restaurant serving a five-star review on a beautiful branded slide is very different from a small widget badge.

Smart Slide Rules

Reactive Content vs. Static Schedules

InfoSlides includes smart slide rules — conditions that automatically control whether a slide appears based on live data. Show "sold out" only when inventory levels drop to zero.

These rules evaluate automatically against real data sources at broadcast time. You set them once, and the screen behaves intelligently regardless of external conditions.

Mandoe does not have this feature. Content is scheduled: it plays on Monday at 9am, or all day on weekends, or during specific time windows. But it cannot react to live data. If the weather changes, staff must manually update the display.

Where Mandoe wins: Mandoe's template library is unmatched — 1000s of professionally designed, industry-specific templates refined over a decade of customer input. If your team has no design experience and needs beautiful signage in minutes, Mandoe's ease-of-use and template richness is a real advantage. Their 10M+ premium stock image and video library (via Shutterstock and Storyblocks) also exceeds InfoSlides' free stock access. For restaurants with POS systems, Mandoe's direct POS integration (auto-update prices from your register) is a powerful feature InfoSlides does not offer. And for larger deployments, Mandoe's enterprise fully-managed service (design, installation, ongoing maintenance) is a turnkey solution.

Automation & Integration

Slides That Update Themselves — CLI, MCP Server, and AI Integration

InfoSlides comes with a built-in command-line interface (CLI) and MCP (Model Context Protocol) server. Your developers can update slides from code, trigger show/hide actions via API, integrate with external systems, and even have Claude manage your displays with natural language commands. Your POS system can automatically update menu prices. Your inventory system can hide slides when stock runs out. Your CI/CD pipeline can push slideshow updates as part of a deployment. The InfoSlides CLI makes this effortless — no complex integrations needed.

Real examples:

infoslides slide hide menu-patio --if weather=rainy — Hide slides programmatically based on conditions

curl -X POST https://infoslides.app/api/slides/sold-out --show — Webhook from your POS → slide updates instantly

claude "show our top 5 selling items from today's sales" — AI agent manages your displays

Mandoe is purely UI-based. Every change requires someone clicking buttons in the Mandoe dashboard. There is no API, no CLI, no way to automate updates. For technical teams, for data-driven displays, for systems that need to react to real-time events, this difference is fundamental.

AI agent → Automate everything

InfoSlides vs Mandoe Media — Common Questions

Both advertise AI slide creation. How do they differ?

Mandoe leads with AI template generation — describe a design, get a layout. InfoSlides AI Studio does that from text, voice, a photo, a URL, a document or a spreadsheet, and the result can stay connected to a live content source, so the slide keeps updating from real data after it is created.

Does the AI make up facts about my business?

AI Studio uses only the facts you supply and copies numbers across exactly rather than guessing at them. If a detail is not in your input, it is left out rather than invented.

Which has the bigger template library?

Mandoe's template catalogue is larger and is the core of its offering. InfoSlides ships a smaller built-in set that any workspace can clone and customise, plus a public gallery.

Is either tied to specific hardware?

Neither requires proprietary players. InfoSlides pairs any browser-capable screen with a six-digit code and ships native Samsung and LG apps.
